Attack of the Strummer strikes again. Who else would it be though? This riff uses F-style bar chords without the lower strings. Keep your fretting hand in a closed grip with your thumb over the top of the neck. Get used to strumming fairly hard while relying on your fretting hands ability to mute unwanted notes–being able to strum freely over the strings will produce a clean, punchy sound and help you keep good time (essential in this style.)
