Marc Ribot is one of my long-time favorite guitarists.  He’s played on plenty of Tom Waits records, including Rain Dogs. His style is eclectic, moving between blues, classical, cuban, ragtime and avant-garde jazz. Embrace the creepy-cool darkness.  Here’s a clip:
